Red lips and small hearts drawn across a ballet almond tip. It is unapologetically a Valentine set and it does not pretend to be anything else. These almond press-on nails last the fortnight around the fourteenth, which is exactly as long as anyone wants them.

How to apply

Wash and dry your hands, push back the cuticles, then buff the shine off each nail plate so the glue has something to grip.

Dry-fit every tip first, in the order they will go on, so each finger gets the size that matches it.

Apply a thin layer of glue to both surfaces — the nail plate and the inside of the tip. Press from cuticle to free edge and hold firmly.

Avoid hot water for the first couple of hours.

How to remove

Soak your hands in warm soapy water until the edges feel loose.

Slide a wooden stick under one side and lift gently. If it resists, soak for longer — never pry a tip off dry.

Buff away any glue residue, wash, and apply cuticle oil. Wait a day or two before the next set.
